Congratulations to MCG Construction’s Team Manager, Marcia Coviello on being a shortlisted finalist at The Global Recruiter UK Awards 2021!
Marcia will now be up against 4 other consultants in the finals of the ‘Best Temporary Consultant’ category, which recognises the best individual performance of a temporary recruitment consultant based in the UK.
The Global Recruiter organisers described that being the best in this category means more than just big billing. They are looking for a good temp recruiter who fully understands their sector, their end users’ requirements and the demands of their candidates. They are always ready to respond and go the extra mile to deliver a quality service. They also provide a leading example within their own business.
Judges are looking for a high performance not only prior to the pandemic, but to see how the nominee has adapted and worked within the challenging circumstances of Covid-19 since March 2020.
Marcia currently supplies around 250 workers to MCG Construction’s clients’ construction sites on a daily basis. She provides on-going support to all her candidates by organising training courses, helping with upskilling, providing guidance on wages, tax returns, settlement scheme, immigration queries and most importantly through providing reliable employment opportunities. She’s available 24/7 for them translating, assisting, and providing guidance to any of her candidates. She also organises social events for candidates and clients, such as setting up Brazilian BBQs on site and regularly delivers bags of quality coffee to site.
During the pandemic, she gathered all available Government information and guidance, translated it and passed it on to her candidates. She’s assisted with client’s COVID inductions, assisted with booking tests, provided extra PPE and organised safe modes of transport for the workers. Not to mention she’s achieved all of that while home-schooling her daughter, running a busy household and a busy desk at work.
