MCG Construction launches FastTrack Programme  

Less than a month into his new role as MD of MCG Construction and Mark Bull has launched MCG FastTrack. The intensive in-house training programme, brainchild of the former Randstad CEO, is designed to train new starters up to Recruitment Resourcer, Account Manager or Consultant roles in just 8 weeks.  

This ambitious project is ideal for those just entering the job market or young people in general, who are known to have borne the brunt of job losses caused by the coronavirus pandemic.  

MCG Construction MD, Mark Bull, said: “I’m tremendously excited about this new initiative as we’re opening up opportunities to less experienced and young people in a Covid-impacted working world. It’s no secret that young people have been the most affected by Covid redundancies and my hope with this programme is that we can quickly set them up on the path to a great career in recruitment.” 

​“Similarly, the hospitality, retail and entertainment sectors were economically worst hit and there may be transferable skills available in these areas where jobseekers may wish to move into recruitment. We’d also love to see anyone who has perhaps worked within construction but in a more manual, on-site type role who wants to use their on the ground experience in an office-based environment. This really is an opportunity wide open to those who want to take their first steps into the construction recruitment world.”  

MCG Construction, part of The MCG Group, provides recruitment solutions to help companies find the best permanent and temporary construction workforce ranging from an urgent temporary site labourer to a permanent civil engineer role.  

As a FastTrack Consultant, participants will be given the best training to quickly get up to speed with: 

  • Understanding Construction (the language, the role types, the companies we work with etc) 
  • Recruitment Sales (how to #begreat at your job) 
  • Systems (how to use our systems properly to get the best out of them) 
  • Compliance (we strongly believe in providing fully compliant, ethical recruitment) 

By the end of the two months, participants are expected to be fully functioning members of the team.
