We are so excited about our brand-new Sheffield office. To make things even more exciting we thought we would give you a chance to get to know Luke Taylor, our very first consultant to be based in our new Sheffield office. Luke Taylor is a great consultant and a nice guy, here’s a little insight into the many reasons why we’re so excited to have him on board.
1) What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Recruitment often has me pulled in different directions, so taking my head out of the day-to-day to prioritise my tasks in to-do lists and weekly plans help me focus on what’s urgent.
2) What behaviour or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?
My enthusiasm when speaking to all my candidates and clients. Talking with them, even about things not relating to roles and projects, gives me great insight into what their priorities are.
3) What was your first job?
Like most teenagers in England, I had a paper round in my hometown, then moved on to selling DIY supplies at a local retailer.
4) What is your pet hate?
Slow walkers and Sunday drivers.
5) Where is the strangest place you have visited?
Death Valley National Park in Nevada, USA. It’s so hot, I couldn’t imagine why anyone would visit twice.
6) What led you to this career?
My enjoyment in speaking to new people and helping them with their needs, and my work history and great track record in sales roles.
7) What’s your favourite TV Series?
Lie to Me, it's an old crime drama tv show from 2009.
8) If you could add one thing to our new Sheffield office, what would it be?
A coffee machine, so that I can satisfy my coffee dependence!
