Hoist Driver jobs

Hoist drivers and operators play an integral role on the construction site. They are responsible for operating the hoists and lifts and transporting passengers and materials around the worksite. They also liaise with the logistics team on hoisting procedures to ensure smooth movement on the site and regularly inspecting and cleaning construction equipment, hoist cars and loading docks.

You will usually undertake extensive on-site training with an experienced Hoist Operator to learn the ropes as a hoist operator. Although no formal education is required to become a hoist operator, an apprenticeship or a course from an approved construction training provider such as a Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) training course is recommended.
