Salary: From £32,000 + (Salary depending on experience)

A successful individual would possess the following skills/abilities as a Principal Engineer

  • Able to initiate, lead tasks & processes.
  • Highly responsible and accountable
  • Able to analyse high level information in thorough detail
  • Problem solving & solution orientated
  • Making decisions regarding engineering judgement

As a Principal Engineer you are responsible for?

  • Liaise with managers, customers, bids
  • Presenting annual/monthly reports on business performance (Competence of delivering services, completing on deadlines, ability to adopt new standards)
  • Review of the market to place the business in the best market position
  • You will set technical standards for the business in line with statutory and/or good practise guidelines, whilst also providing guidance and support to the front end delivery teams.
  • Contribute in each stage of project life cycle
  • Make effective us of document control
  • You will liaise with technical leads and help with the audit of best practise including (HV/ LV and gas / Legionella / LOLER / Water hygiene / Fire RA's & other statutory activities)

Experience & Tickets Necessary

  • Qualified engineer
  • Experience in either; NHS, healthcare, PFI, government or retail environment
  • Minimum IOSH (Institution of occupational safety & health)
  • Membership level CIBSE, IHEEM, Chartered engineer or equivalent
  • Minimum level 7 qualification in building services ideally in M&E
