MCG Construction has a new opportunity for a qualified Administrator / PMO Coordinator for a major contract in Welwyn Garden City/ Waterloo.

Main Purpose of Job:

To provide strong co-ordinated support for the Project Coordinators and Project Managers. To ensure the provision of efficient, effective and up dated project management. To ensure the development and delivery of action plans/KPI's, service level agreements and compliance with all BYes processes. Managing and co-ordinating all aspects of engagement projects and campaigns. Assisting project staff and scheduling to ensure that projects are planned forward, that they do not conflict with each other and that project tasks are completed within the project schedules.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective support service to PMO Manager, Operations Managers and Contract Managers as required, to deliver their projects and programmes.
  • Assist with the provision of accurate financial and quality management information reports as required to report on project progress, pipeline, variances to pipeline PRs, POs, GRNs.
  • Manage and maintain the updating of the filing registry (paper and electronic) as and when changes are made, and control the filing structure, including but not limited to, setting up all new contracts, and managing and controlling persmissions to folder structure
  • Manage the flow of contractual communications as set out in individual contracts, ensuring that all notifications are issud and responded to as appropriate and within the timescales dictated, ensuring contractual compliance
  • Work with the Contract Management team to ensure all Quote related paperwork is presented to the client accurately and filed and archived correctly.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Contract Manager with all financial budgets making sure they are tracked for Projects' cash flows, forecast and programme.
  • Always ensure that when required customer contact is of highest quality and reinforcing company standing as highest quality service deliverer.
  • To maintain project management systems and other management information systems on behalf of PMO, Operations Managers and Contract Managers ensuring consistency with operating guidelines.
  • Assist the project teams with the taking of meeting minutes where required
  • To comply with Company Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
  • To support the Companies Quality Policy Statement and actively participate in the achievement of Company and personal Quality objectives


  • Experience in delivering high quality administrative and/or project co-ordination services within an FM/construction, consultancy, project management and/or contracting environment in a well organised, disciplined and controlled fashion
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a construction related qualification, be degree or higher B/TEC qualified to facilitate career advancement within this career path.
  • Financially aware, good with figures, developing commercial awareness
