About the role

The Civils Supervisor will be responsible for the site supervision of field operatives (direct labour and sub contract) to ensure that all Client orders are delivered to time, in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring all contractual processes, procedures and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

As Civils Supervisor you will reporting to a Civils/ Build Manager, responsible for overseeing all civils activities relating to fibre build programme. You will be responsible for ensuring works are planned in accordance with contractual KPI's. You will need to ensure all operatives have correct accreditation's and you will ne responsible for store and materials.

Liaising with Highways Authority, Police and Local Authorities carrying out joint audit/FSVA. You will report escalations and ensuring compliance to contractual clearance timescales. Ensure compliance to all quality and safety standards via in-progress and retro checking regime. You will need to read and interpret client network schematics. In field coaching and identification of operative training and accreditation requirements.

What do we need from you?

  • The Civils Supervisor needs to be a proactive, good communicator with demonstrable experience in this industry.
  • Working on your own initiative and delivering against key objectives is a key aspect of the role. You will need to have good people management skills, to liaise effectively with the team and stakeholders with exceptional customer focus.
  • To be successful in this role the Civils Supervisor will need a good understanding of legislation affecting company activities in the highway.
  • Awareness and understanding of the Communications Network Installation Specifications.
  • NRSWA - Current qualification to supervisor standard.
  • It will be beneficial for you to have relevant Openreach Civils accreditations. Along with COSHH/RIDDOR/Health &Safety at Work - Knowledge of regulations and requirements.
