Job Description:
The company currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager - Hard FM - to join our Facilities Management team working on our local government contract covering various corporate & public sites across Westminster City Council. This opportunity is for a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
The role:
- Reporting to the General Manager
- To deliver a Hard FM service, undertaking the functional, technical and management aspects
- Ensuring the service is delivered in line with the contract specification, agreed budgets and statutory obligations
- Responsible for the implementation of planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring all work is recorded on the FM Management systems
- Maintaining close liaison with the client to ensure day to day requirements of delivering the contract are met
- Responsible for the performance of all operational staff and sub-contractors within the work stream
- To recruit, select, motivate and manage the Hard FM services teams, ensuring the highest impressions of quality, customer care, proactivity and professionalism to our client.
- Working 40 hours per week from 0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday
The person:
- Qualifications in an engineering/building services discipline and experience in a similar role
- Previous experience of managing a medium to large group of engineers / technicians across multiple sites
- Excellent team leadership skills with experience of integrating teams and improving efficiency, to deliver on own and team's deadlines with consistency
- Excellent customer services skills and ability to cope with demanding and varied customer requirements
- Budgetary experience and responsibility (>£2 million) with proven commercial acumen
- Strong project management skills and organisational skills
- Computer literacy and experience of using CAFM packages
- Experience of managing all aspects of statutory compliance
- Experience of working in a local government environment would be desirable.
