professional standard and leads by example.

Builds trust and gains respect of all parties on site. Inspires and
motivates site team to work together to complete the project, even
when under pressure.

Takes personal responsibility and is happy being held accountable
for the site.

Sets a high benchmark for the safety and quality standard
expected on the project and leads by example.

Regularly undertakes safety audits / inspections

Also sets clear line management targets for the members of the site
team. Meets targets set by own manager and is focused on
developing capability further. Identifies individuals on site who are
keen to develop further.


SMSTS competent.

Correct CSCS card, PTS (if required) and other identified training.

Good level of IT skills.

Knowledge of programming and Conditions of contract (NEC, ICE

Has worked on a broad section of disciplines such as groundwork's,
RC structures, steelwork, and building and can demonstrate a clear
understanding in these areas.

Experienced at working within a Rail environment.

Experience of personal responsibility in managing projects or
project sections up to £10 million.

Has an industry recognised qualification such as a Degree, HND,
NVQ or similar in a Civil Engineering/Building or related course.

Alternatively has gained similar qualities through work related
training and experience.
